Unearth

Close your eyes and dream of dirt, of root, of the complex workings of mycelium that spread like veins beneath you. In this, is there a story that you want to tell? We would love to read it.

 

Unearth is currently open for submissions of previously unpublished fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art. We are seeking work that is mysterious, speculative, and raw, and that is able to bring a reader closer to the soil and to the natural subjects around them. We encourage experimentation with form and voice.

Submission Guidelines

​

For fiction and creative nonfiction, submit no more than two pieces (with a maximum of 3000 words each) as a single .doc or .docx attachment in a standard font.

 

For poetry, submit no more than five poems (with a maximum of ten pages each) as a single .doc or .docx attachment in a standard font.

​

For art, please submit no more than three pieces as a .tiff attachment (or similar format).
