Unearth features fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art that encompass the deep complexity of the ground beneath our feet. Seeking work that welcomes the dirt and the wonder of decomposition, we aspire to feed the hungry minds of earthbound readers that enjoy both the beauty and natural horror that exist within the soil and beneath it. We are interested in publishing fluid, genre-bending stories from diverse voices because we believe that nature is fluid and diverse. New voices are welcome and appreciated. While this journal is broadly focused on nature and natural subjects, we encourage the presence of literature that highlights the unknown and mysterious nature of our environment.
